Q: I rent a place in Woodland Estates.  Can I obtain an Associate Membership and a boat ramp key?

A: If it is your established residence, you can obtain an Associate Membership but you will need to prove residence with appropriate documentation.  In addition, the bylaws only allow for one boat ramp key per residence so if the owner has a key, you will not be able to get another.

Q: STORM QUESTION: How do I get back to my house after an evacuation and where do I get disaster reentry decals?

A: In order to facilitate getting back into your neighborhood after an evacuation, Emergency Management officials issue disaster re-entry tags to residents.

The re-entry pass will be used when an area in the county has been evacuated for any reason. When the area is declared safe for re-entry, law enforcement will be looking for these passes that identify the holder as living in the area. This will speed up the re-entry process, and help deter looters and other people from entering the area. If you don’t have a re-entry pass, you will be stopped at a checkpoint before entering the previously evacuated area, and will need to show photo identification with a listed address in the affected area, therefore slowing down the process.

Re-entry passes are available at:

• Sheriff’s Office Emergency Operations Center in Lecanto

• Sheriff's Offices in Inverness, Crystal River & Beverly Hills

• Tax Collector's Office in Inverness & Crystal River (Meadowcrest)

The pass should be kept in the glove compartment until needed, and then hung on the rearview mirror of your vehicle during re-entry.

Q:  May I bring a guest to the Christmas party?

A:  No. The Christmas party is funded by our members dues.  Allowing guests would significantly increase the cost to members and would ultimately result in a dues increase.  Single members may bring one guest.  You should contact the President or Vice President if you have further questions.

Q: Where do I report a nusance alligator?

A: Please call the Nuisance Alligator Hotline - 1-866-392-4286
